About the 2018 Ohio Nursing Home Family Satisfaction Survey
In 2018, the Department surveyed the family members of Ohio's nursing homes and residential care facilities. We asked a family member or friend of each facility resident about his or her perception of the facility's activities, administration, meals and dining, direct care, nursing and other factors that affect his or her family member's life in the facility. The Department mailed a survey to a sample of family members of Ohio's nursing home and residential care facility residents between April and July, 2018. The surveys were anonymous and were returned via U.S. mail to Scripps Gerontology Center or via an Internet survey tool. The Department will survey families again using a similar survey tool.
